English for speakers of other languages (ESOL), Improving your English
can help you get more out of your life in the UK. It will also help
if you want to study, improve your CV, or apply to become a British
citizen.
These qualifications have been accredited to the National Qualifications
Framework (NQF) and are eligible for public funding as determined
by the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) under
Sections 96 and 97 of the Learning and Skills Act 2000. The qualification
titles listed above feature in the funding lists published annually
by the DCSF and the regularly updated website www.dcsf.gov.uk/.
The NQF Qualifications Accreditation Number should be used by centres
when they wish to seek public funding for their learners.
Each unit within a qualification will also have an NQF unit code.
Assessment
method
All units will be individually graded as 'pass', 'merit' or 'distinction'.
Assessment is by assignments and examination and is carried out
continuously.
